Aged Copper Ceiling

Materials for Aged Copper Ceiling:

Copper SetCoat® (or Copper SharkSkin™ Metallic, as shown)
Copper Palette Deco™
AquaCreme™
FauxCreme Color™ – Dark Brown


Tools & Supplies:

Beveled Edge Stainless Steel Trowel
Sponge brush (or roller for large areas)
Cheese Cloth
Badger Brush
Mixing Buckets and Stir Sticks
Painter’s Tape and Drop Clothes

Step 1: Prepare the surface as needed and apply 2 coats of Copper SetCoat. Let dry overnight.

Step 2: Using a stainless Steel trowel, apply a thin to medium coat of Copper Pallette Deco™ creating movement. Let dry overnight.

Step 3: Combine 70% AquaCreme™ and 30% Dark Brown FauxCreme® Color and apply to the surface using a roller or sponge brush. Gently pat the wet glaze with a loose ball of Cheese Cloth to break up any straight lines created by the method of application, and then soften the entire finish with the badger brush.

Special Note: In high traffic areas or in rooms where moisture or regular cleaning may be a factor, a more durable topcoat such as AquaThane™ or VarnishPlus™ should be applied.
