Step 1: Prepare surface as needed.
Step 2. Apply 2 coats of Super Metallic Silver SetCoat®. Let dry overnight.
Step 3. Dilute Rhino LusterStone® with approximately 30% water and mix thoroughly. (If applying to very large surfaces, a small amount of AquaGlaze® can be added to extend working time.)
Step 4. Using a level, tape off vertical sections approximately 3’ wide from floor to ceiling. This will help keep the striae straight as well as assist with product open time.
Step 5. Using the roller, apply a medium to thick coat of diluted LusterStone® vertically to the section. While wet, starting at the top, drag the wallpaper brush down the surface to the bottom following the tape line.
**Apply to every other section. Once dry, carefully remove the tape and replace it over the dry LusterStone® at the seam, and then fill in voids.
Step 6. Tape the StencilFX™ DragonFly stencil to the surface. Using a sanding block, bevel the edges of the styrene so not to cut into the stencil.
Step 7. Apply non-diluted Rhino LusterStone® through the stencil with the #4 trowel. While the stencil is still in place, run the wallpaper brush through the LusterStone® vertically. Remove stencil and continue process until complete. Let dry.
Step 8. Replace the clean stencil over sections of the finish and lightly apply FauxCreme Color™ over some of the dragonflies. Approximately 60% of the dragonflies will receive color.
Step 9. Once again replace the clean stencil and apply a thin layer of Clear Palette Deco™ to a few dragonflies Approximately. 15% to add another dimension in sheen to the final effect.
