Step 1: Over a SetCoat® base, roll on medium to thick coat of SofTex™.
Step 2: Create “linen” pattern by draging the wallpaper brush horizontally (side to side) through the material.
Step 3: When SofTex™ has set, (almost dry to the touch but not yet hardened), drag the wallpaper brush vertically (up and down) through the material creating the “linen” pattern. Let dry.
Step 4: Create a mixture of 85% AquaCreme™ to 15% Van Dyke Brown FauxCreme Color™. Using an application brush, apply glaze mixture to surface.
Step 5: While the glaze is still wet, drag the wallpaper brush horizontally over the surface.

Step 6: Repeat Step 5 vertically dragging the wallpaper brush over the surface.
Step 7: Using terry cloth or cheese cloth, wipe the surface, both horizontally and vertically, embedding the glaze into the texture.
Hint: When creating this finish, only work on small areas at a time to manipulate the patterns while the product is still wet. If trying to accomplish too large of an area, the product could dry before your effect is achieved.
* Always do a sample board to ensure desired results on a large surface.
Additional Durability: For added durability, when glaze is dry, apply a coat of ColorSeal™, and when dry follow with two coats of AquaThane™, Varnish Plus™ or C-500 Urethane™.
Other Options: Try creating your own “linen” color by selecting from our extensive FauxCreme Color™ palette!
