Faux Effects International Inc. is again proud to be a 2013 sponsor of the Faux Retreat featuring some fabulous Faux Effects® licensed instructors.
Faux Retreat was founded in 2009 by Kathy Boyd. The mission of the Faux Retreat is to bring decorative artists together in a non-competitive caring and sharing atmosphere. It is to give students a variety of instruction and educate them in various products and techniques. Staying together in the same home with artistic people sparks friendships that last a lifetime.

Gary Lord is recognized as an international artist, teacher, author and television personality. From 2002- 2006 Gary's work has won a total of seven National 1st Place Awards for Best Faux Finisher of the Year by the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America and by the American Painting Contractor. He also was named to the top spot by American Painting Contractor for Who's Who in Decorative Painting in America. Gary has been teaching his award winning finishes for over 20 years to thousands of students nationally and internationally. Garyʼs studio, Prismatic Painting, is an authorized Faux Effects® Studio located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Faux Retreat August 2013 Sheri Zeman
Sheri Zeman is not only a past retreat instructor but is our most successful one! Students who attended her first retreat class have been able to sell her finishes over and over again. Sheri's finishes are elegant and easy to execute. They use a minimal amount of products so you can make more money in your own business.
Sheri is the owner of Faux Design Studio outside of Chicago and has an online store. FDS has the full line of Faux Effects® Gold and Silver products as well as Sheriʼs own Loft101 stencils, decorative glass and tools.
